The Art of Finding your Own Niche Market

Vincent Guyaux
President & CEO, Metafoam; Chairman, Embrase

Positioning is the process where we identify and prioritize target market segments (with the methodology developed by the Chasm Institute), we develop the right message for each segment, we validate them with actual customers and prospects, and then we plan the go-to-market strategies. This approach is entirely oriented towards the customers’ point of view and their considerations. The techniques presented are applicable regardless of the field or industry of the participants, or the type of product and service that they provide.

Conference
Developing and Implementing a Channel Strategy

Paul Lepage
President and Chief Executive Officer, MédiSolution

We all know the promise: "The distribution will increase your market penetration as well as your revenue by limiting your investment because you only pay a percentage of sales to be made." The reality is quite different: "The success of the sales distribution networks for a growing business requires an investment that will cost more than direct sales and the promise of the sales cost reduction will be reached only after several years of sustained efforts. "
Paul Lepage who has, on one side, worked with major distributors and the other, has developed and managed distribution networks successfully, will share some examples and the basic concepts and essential elements for successful sales distribution networks. Topics covered: The choice between direct sales and distributors, the types of distributors, the distribution program, the criteria for selecting a distributor, the distribution contract, marketing and management activities of the distributors.

Real Case
iBwave Solutions : Mario Bouchard, President and CEO

As soon as the product of iBwave became known, requests for distributors came from North America, South America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Mario Bouchard, President of iBwave, will present the choice of distribution models that have been made over the years with iBwave and the reasons that justified it.
