Montréal,
November 15, 2002 — During the Big Bang forum closing session, attendees
expressed their unanimous satisfaction toward this meeting organized exclusively
for sales and marketing executives from Quebec's high tech companies. An initiative of
Inter logiQ Network,
this event was held on October 24-25 at Château Cartier in Aylmer, Quebec.
Many business partners supported it, including the Prestigious Partner, IDC.
During the two-day activity, international sales and marketing experts specialized
in the high tech field gave precious advices to attendees, helping them to succeed in this
difficult economic period. They said that the best way to accelerate growth
in the IT field is to follow a clear path. In 2002:
- Buying decisions are taken by more senior
decision-makers, who are not very interested in technology. These executives focus
on ROI
- Sales and marketing people from IT companies must prove that their technological
solutions are profitable and useful to end-users, and should not put
emphasis on specs
- Selling in a smaller and a very well targeted market with the
cooperation of partners is the most profitable approach
At the end of the forum, all participants expressed that
Inter logiQ Network should go on with
this annual sales and marketing get-together to help IT executives develop
state-of-the-art skills, form new alliances among peers and improve their sales
and marketing strategies.
Noticing the success of this first sales and marketing focused event, Inter logiQ Network
committed itself to go on with organizing this type of specialized training,
including the 2003 Big Bang Forum.
